LIGHTer - a strategic innovation programme

LIGHTer is a multi-sectorial lightweight arena, which effectively creates competitiveness for the Swedish industry. LIGHTer intends to create a structure for the efficiency of technology development and development of people with unique, multi-disciplinary capability to create products with low weight. LIGHTer will also provide an international top level (excellence) in selected areas giving the industry conditions for competitiveness. LIGHTer coordinates activities in research, development, technology and competence development in Sweden. LIGHTer is the hub of Swedish lightweight technology. On this page LIGHTer will presents information about what is going on nationally and internationally in the lightweight area. LIGHTer is managed as a membership programme, which started in November 2013. By being a member you take joint responsibility for making Sweden one of the leading nations in lightweight development, providing exports and jobs. As a member, you are also given the opportunity to influence what Sweden should invest in the lightweight area. As a member you get access to a unique and broad network and continuous national and international lightweight trends throughout the world.
