Lindsay Publishing

Lindsay is an international publisher interested in art, culture, fashion, nature and place. It launched in 2017 as an independent magazine publishing cultural storytelling. Each issue brought together writers, photographers and artists from around the globe to create an archive of our colourful and ever-changing world. It is founded, edited and designed by Beth Wilkinson, a graphic designer and editor who works on arts, culture and fashion projects through her practice Beth Wilkinson Studio. https://www.bethwilkinsonstudio.com Lindsay was named after Beth’s grandfather – Lindsay James Stanger – a self-taught photographer, keen traveller and National Geographic subscriber who had a genuine interest in other peoples’ stories and quiet talent for documenting the places he visited. Beth inherited his cameras and that’s when she began taking her own photos. You can read about his life in Issue No. 5. Lindsay has been sold in museum stores, bookshops and concept spaces in over 30 countries, including the Tate Modern (London), The Whitney (New York), MOMA PS1 (New York), Gucci Garden (Florence), Yvon Lambert (Paris), Ofr. (Paris), Daikanyama T-Site (Tokyo), McNally Jackson (New York), and National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne), and hosted semi-regular book launches, talks, parties and cinema screenings for its loyal readership at places like Maryam Nassir Zadeh, McNally Jackson, Heide Museum of Modern Art and the Hotel Windsor. We acknowledge the Wurundieri Woi-wurrung and Bunurona / Boon Wurrung peoples as the traditional owners of this land and the first storytellers of this country. We pay our respects to their Elders—past, present and future.
