The Listening Booth delivers music discovery to listeners while supporting musicians w/airplay & promotion + majority of revenue goes to artists via MUSICARES. Each week host DJ RePete spins new alternative, crossing over into rock, blues, R&B, and electronica genres. We champion the musicians and bands you hear on the Listening Booth. That's why we pledge the majority of advertising and Patreon revenue will support musicians and bands in need via MUSICARES. The more you listen and subscribe, the more we pay to support artists. The name, Listening Booth, is a nod to the booths and listening stations of music stores past---which were used to preview music before purchasing. In this age of streaming, we aim to be a similar "try before you buy" utility by offering a handcrafted playlist, the stories behind the tracks, and easy access to purchasing music directly from artists via their Bandcamp links (if available) in Episode Descriptions. Founded in 2005, the Listening Booth continued its legacy of music discovery with a relaunch in 2022 on Anchor on Spotify.
