Lloyd Leather was established in December of 2018 as a company between two brothers, Jamison Lantz and Zac Nixon. The first is a country musician who wanted to create in his off time. Always having a knack for the arts but never really expressing it until after college, Jamison is an extremely creative individual coming up with great patterns and beautiful artwork. He directly inspired us to create our line of slim wallets. The second is a creative director and senior graphic designer needing to be able to create something with his hands instead of on-screen. Zac needed a new wallet, so he tried his hands at making one. Utilizing his online influencers and some local instruction he now creates all types of leather goods from beautiful wallets and custom bags to armor pieces.
The name Lloyd Leather is derived from their family name and one of the main paternal influences in their lives, their late grandfather Floyd Lloyd. He was a mechanical engineer, owned Lloyd Bent Bolt - a bolt bending and specialist shop had many patents that are still in use today and was a survivor of WWII with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. His focus on quality and dedication to his craft and family are the main core values Lloyd Leather tries to emulate daily in our design, creation, manufacturing, and quality of our work.
Making fine leather goods is a complex and labor-intensive process. When it comes down to it, a leather product is only as good as the materials and craftsmanship that go into it.
