The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust has been caring for the Brisbane community since the 1960's. We provide critical grants and support to local and grassroots charities who help people dealing with our city’s biggest social challenges.
We believe that addressing these challenges, whether it’s homelessness, domestic violence or supporting people with illness or disability, requires community effort.
This is why the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust is proud to support hundreds of lesser-known charities who work directly with people facing these challenges.
Every year, we support charities with:
• Two annual grant rounds of up to $10,000 per charity
• Easter Grant of Easter eggs for disadvantaged children
• Christmas Grant of children’s toys, Foodbank vouchers and small cash grants of up to $2,000 per charity.
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust also runs a Major Grant program for large scale projects or for charities in emergent need.
