Loading Docs is a groundbreaking initiative to fund, create and distribute 3-minute New Zealand documentary shorts based on the theme of ‘home’.
10 films will be launched on the Loading Docs website in May 2014, syndicated on high profile media sites such as the NZ Herald and made freely available to view and share online, both locally and internationally.
This initiative has a strong focus on connecting filmmakers with audiences and creating a vibrant community around LOADING DOCS, while exploring new models for film funding, production and distribution.
LOADING DOCS is a unique new opportunity for our documentary community to create original and challenging work and as such we are expressly seeking documentary directors and teams with a proven commitment to the documentary craft. However, we encourage a broad range of individuals and teams to submit, from highly experienced to early career documentary makers. Ultimately the goal is to produce documentary shorts that will challenge, inspire and move audiences with an emphasis on quality, creativity and innovation.
