LocalLinked connect students at university with their local community via our interactive app. The LocalLinked app that allows students to earn points by supporting their local community, which can be used to unlock rewards. Earning points can be as simple as visiting a local business, or helping out at a beach clean! Young people are the future, but in todays day and age there is a serious lack of community engagement. With convenience in the modern world at an all time high, no wonder they are hesitant to leave their comfort bubbles. This results in an overall lack of awareness of what their community has to offer, causing young people to feel disconnected. By encouraging the support of local, not only will this help the economy but also help reduce the huge unseen affects that big brand consumerism has on the environment.
