About LoCoMecha Project
The LoCoMecha project (2023-2026) is a French-Swiss scientific endeavour dedicated to the in vitro investigations of the corrosion behaviour and mechanical properties of multiphasic alloys of biomedical interest under simulated physiological conditions (notably inflammation). The consortium includes the CNRS – Université Paris Sorbonne, the French Corrosion Institute, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). This synergistic project, funded by the French National Research Agency and the Swiss National Science Foundation, gathers competences in corrosion science, local electrochemistry, additive manufacturing, microstructure analysis and materials modelling.
