Longview Acquisition Corp (“Longview I) and Longview Acquisition Corp II (“Longview II”) are special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) sponsored by an affiliate of Glenview Capital Management, LLC, formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses.
Longview II may pursue an acquisition opportunity in any industry, sector or geographical location, with a particular emphasis on the healthcare sector, and intends to focus on private businesses whose management can work with Longview II to create value for shareholders in the public markets. Longview II raised $600 million its initial public offering and commenced trading on March 19, 2021, on the NYSE under the ticker LGV.
On February 12, 2021, Longview I consummated its previously announced business combination with Butterfly Network, Inc., an innovative digital health company that is working to enable universal access to superior medical imaging.
