Founded in 1996 by Lake Garda in Italy, Lucaffè is the result of Mr. Gian Luca Venturelli’s love for the art of coffee roasting mixed with his natural talent in making the most exquisite and delicious blends, combining the best beans, constantly studying, and improving the production process aiming to provide the best coffee experience to his customers.
Lucaffè has its humble beginnings at a small warehouse where Mr. Venturelli used to carry the sacks of coffee beans bought from Brazil, where he would spend much of his time searching for the best suppliers and creating better and more eco-friendly ways to transport the coffee to Italy.
His relentless search for improvement is what made Lucaffè go from a small warehouse to a greater complex, that keeps growing and investing in better machinery to treat the coffee beans with the maximum care:
Our process begins with a hand-sorting selection of the beans in order to obtain the maximum purity and to pick out the smaller beans that burn faster and leave a bitter taste to the coffee.
Afterwards, the coffee is gently roasted in a bed of hot air that guarantees the integrity of the beans and preserves all its natural oils.
With our 3-step grounding process, we’re also able to obtain the perfect ground level for filter coffee, pods, and capsules.
With constant research, from the coffee origins to packing, we are always developing the best solutions for the entire production line:
Our nespresso® compatible capsules are 100% biodegradable, our pods are compostable, and our tins are made in stainless steel which is the second most recyclable material in the world. Moreover, our tins are closed hermetically allowing the coffee to be stored protected from humidity and oxygen, which preserves flavor and freshness.
