At an early stage, the OpAL project will address the operational processes from the operator's point of view, which will result in the incorporation of new types of aircraft with novel performance profiles as well as requirements in pilot training and ground handling. The focus will be on how these partly disruptive technologies can be incorporated into the existing air traffic system or at which point the currently existing system has to be adapted.
