About Long Way Home

Hero School is Long Way Home’s flagship preK-11th grade school located in San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala. Our local construction crew and more than 3,000 volunteers have transformed 500 tons of waste and over 25,000 used tires using green-building techniques into an 18-building school complex and education center. Hero School serves as the learning hub for local and international students to reimagine the way we build and gain knowledge to become a new generation of innovators.
