About us
Maavarim Northern Negev is an organization that focuses on community-based career development in the rural sector. The organization operates with the professional support of the NGO Be-Atzmi, under the supervision of The Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs’ community work service, and in cooperation with the Sha’ar Hanegev, Bnei-Shimon and Yoav Regional Councils.
Maavarim Northern Negev is led by a steering committee of all local and national partners, together with an active management that assists in everyday operation. The program is operated by a professional team that includes the program manager, a community social worker, a Career Counselor, an Employer Relations and Partnerships coordinator, and coordinators in the entrepreneurship and training fields. Along side them, local employment promoters and volunteers operate in a wide array of fields[eh1] .
Our vision
Our goal is to create a local employment infrastructure that responds to the everchanging needs of the job market, while implementing a threefold strategy: Developing community-based capital as a springboard for employees and employers, expanding human capital, and developing an integrated network of employment’s agencies and services.
