Magna International Movers was established in 1990 by Dave Buchanan and John Giles, and Thomson International Movers was established in 1987 by Robin and Trevor Thomson. With decades’ experience in the removals service industry, both companies were established exclusively in domestic and overseas moving, storage and fine art packing. In 2008 they combined their many years of expertise and knowledge, merging to form Magna-Thomson International Movers (Pty) Ltd. Today Magna-Thomson in South Africa has offices based in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town and a sales office in Pietermaritzburg. We can collect and pack from anywhere in South Africa and have shipped many hundreds of families’ household goods all over the world.
