MAHAN Trust, Melghat

Mahan is a non-government organization that is helping Melghat fight malnutrition one step everyday. We have several different projects that help work towards the betterment of the tribals in Melghat. We also work towards changing the government healthcare policies based on our findings while our ongoing research programs by filing PILs for the betterment of society and to help the government with the data we have gathered over the last 25 years of our functioning. We also have an in-house hospital where we are providing medical facilities like - Critical Care, 2D-Echo, Ventilator, ICU, Paediatric Unit, Pathology Unit and an Eye hospital in the difficult to reach areas of Melghat. With the help of renowned doctors from all over India, MAHAN is able to conduct annual plastic surgery camps along with eye and cataract surgery camps where everything completely free of cost to help benefit the people from the low income groups who otherwise would not have been able to afford such critical and expensive surgeries that play a major role in the betterment if their overall lifestyle by making them self sufficient to carry out everyday tasks.
