Major Tech was founded in 1992 with its focus on developing its own brand of Test & Measuring instruments, a first for South Africa. From its humble beginnings Major Tech has become synonymous with innovation and quality throughout its product range. Major Tech is heavily committed to product research and allocates significant resources to an ongoing research program. This type of investment ensures that Major Tech is constantly at the forefront of technologic development and those new ideas and concepts can rapidly be brought to market. The success of Major Tech and their experience in developing unique products assisted the company in developing meters and test tools for South African electricians, but in recent years we now attract customers from all over the globe. Our focus is to ensure that we meet the latest IEC safety standards while still delivering testers with unique features and functions. Major Tech was one of the first companies worldwide to introduce double injection housings for test meters in the early 2000’s, and have now included this durable housing wherever possible throughout our range.
