Habitat for Humanity Malawi

Habitat for Humanity Malawi is a non-profit Christian housing organization affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International. the organization construct houses for vulnerable familes in Malawi. About 78% of families in Malawi live in substandard housing characterized by mud walls and grass thatch and there are very few institutions in the country dedicated to eliminating housing poverty and HFH Malawi is one of them. HFH Malawi believes that provision of shelter is one way of eliminating poverty and improving the lives of orphans and other vulnerable groups of people. To date, HFH Malawi has constructed over 800 houses for vulnerable families in Mulanje, Salima, Lilongwe, Chikhwawa, Dowa, Blantyre and Mzuzu, Zomba and Phalombe with funding from various donors and local partners.
