Maloto, meaning dreams, is a non-profit organization based in New York that develops and invests in programs in Malawi that FEED-EDUCATE-EMPOWER. Maloto works closely with local implementation partners – the Kwithu Women’s Group and Mzuzu Academy. Maloto believes that local partners are essential to the success of its programs. Partnering with local organizations ensures that development is relevant to people’s lives and therefore sustainable.
Maloto’s mission is to transform the lives of women and children living in poverty in Malawi. Maloto seeks to create educated, empowered and self-reliant communities of women and children by offering a helping hand, not a hand-out.
