Our core activities encompass:
- research in laser materials processing, particularly laser welding and Additive Manufacturing
- teaching in manufacturing and production.
We offer also both short and long term industrial R&D contract work.
Our main goal is to be a world leader in our core areas in order to optimally serve science, industry and our students.
The research subject is active in national and European research projects.
We cooperate with the most highly ranked universities and research institutes in the world in laser materials processing.
The education is done at undergraduate and post graduate levels both within the university and via external courses.
