Marilles Foundation

Marilles Foundation company information, Employees & Contact Information

Our mission is to restore marine and coastal ecosystems until we achieve an excellent level of conservation. We finance local projects and organisations to improve the Balearic Sea and its coastline. We design solutions to address the challenges that threaten the marine and coastal environment. We attract funding to guarantee its long-term conservation. When we imagine the Balearic Islands in 2030, we envisage thriving marine and coastal ecosystems, with an abundance of marine life and fishing resources contributing to the economic growth of the region. To achieve this, however, we need: - efficiently protected marine areas. - sustainable, low-impact fishing. - an engaged society. Our projects prioritise these three lines of work. But we’re also working to reduce other pressures on the marine environment, such as pollution; and to establish the building blocks of long-term change by ensuring that more information on the Balearic Sea is available, and by strengthening the third sector, citizen science, and philanthropy.
