Marine@UGent stands as a dynamic community of over 800 researchers distributed across 70 research groups spanning 10 faculties at Ghent University. Established in 2012, this consortium serves as the nexus for Ghent University's marine and maritime research expertise, fostering interfaculty collaboration and transdisciplinary initiatives. Annually, the consortium contributes to approximately one-third of all marine and maritime publications within the Belgian research landscape.
