Maristan

Maristan is a zakat-eligible nonprofit dedicated to advancing holistic mental and spiritual wellness grounded in Islamic tradition. We provide professional, culturally and spiritually congruent care through our mental health clinic, educational programs, and research initiatives. Inspired by the historical maristāns—centers of healing in the Islamic world—our work bridges tradition with modern clinical standards. We serve communities through our outpatient clinic, psychoeducational content, suicide response training, and Muslim Mental Health Initiatives on college campuses. From therapy and workshops to community healing circles and certified trainings, Maristan is reshaping how Muslims engage with emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being—without stigma and within the framework of their faith.
