The Markham District Baseball Association Inc.(MDBA) is a non-profit, community association that is an affiliate association in the York Simcoe Baseball Association (YSBA) which is part of the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA). The purpose of the Markham District Baseball Association is to provide an opportunity for the young residents of the City of Markham (aged 4 to 24) to play organized baseball (hardball). We are here to encourage learning and improvement of the basic skills of baseball for the enjoyment of all players, parents, coaches and managers. Our goal is to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork and self-discipline. For those players that are looking for more competitive levels of baseball, the MDBA offers both the Regional Competitive Level (OBA & SOBA) levels in addition to our House League level. We currently have 13 different REP teams from Junior Rookie to Midget level including two teams at some age levels. We also have 5 Select Teams: Rookie, Mosquito, Minor Peewee, Major Peewee and Bantam. All of our competitive teams OBA and SOBA teams, a common team name of "MARINERS" is used by each team in each division of the program.
