Marvesta is committed to sustainable seafood. Marvesta owns and operates shrimp farms, mussel storage and food processing facilities in strategic locations within the United States. Marvesta Shrimp Farms was founded in 2002 with goal of providing fresh, never-frozen, organic seafood to market as well as the hope of eliminating stresses and pitfalls associated with traditional aquaculture and overfishing of the oceans. Marvesta is concerned with the destruction of mangrove forests, nitrification and eutrophication of coastlines, by-catch associated with trawling techniques, subsequent killing of sea turtles, and discharge common to other forms of aquaculture, along with numerous other adverse effects that deplete our resources and irrevocably destroy our fragile environment. By offering the freshest, most sustainable shrimp and mussles on the market, Marvesta is the future of seafood.
