MASUS is the Master's programme in Sustainable Development and Global Governance at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), located in Madrid, Spain.
Ø Based on an understanding that environmental and socio-economic sustainability are closely intertwined and that global governance has an imminent role in both, MASUS provides comprehensive training to tackle the multifaceted challenges of sustainability and generate comprehensive solutions to them.
Ø MASUS focuses on some of the most pressing issues of sustainability such as the climate crisis and energy transition, biodiversity, gender, poverty and inequality, alongside prevalent challenges in global governance and the tragedy of the commons.
Ø MASUS offers a vanguard multidisciplinary training by bringing together experts from a wide range of disciplines in both natural and social sciences – e.g. biology, economics, mathematics, law, physics, development studies, political science and environmental sciences.
Ø Based on an hands-on approach, MASUS equips students with skills to produce evidence-based solutions to real-world challenges of sustainability and governance.
Ø MASUS is taught in-person and entirely in English by a diverse faculty from 8 distinct departments, and 10 universities and research centers, MASUS encourages students from all academic and professional backgrounds to apply.
Ø All classes take place in the Puerta de Toledo Campus of @UC3M in the heart of Madrid.
Ø MASUS has a diverse student body with 16 nationalities represented.
