MaxH2DR is a Horizon Europe Clean Steel Partnership project.
The MaxH2DR project deals with hydrogen-based direct reduction as ground-breaking technology for climate neutral steelmaking.
Since there are significant knowledge gaps regarding H2 enriched direct reduction, the MaxH2DR project aims to close the current knowledge gaps hindering efficient scale-up. It will also deliver the tools needed for industrial implementation, process optimization, process integration and investment planning. The target is to raise the maturity of the relevant toolkits from TRL 5 to TRL 8.
