Hello and welcome to MCA Services, a contract laboratory analysis and consultancy for the physical characterisation of materials specialising in porosimetry, pycnometry and particle size analysis.
We can analyse materials for the complete range of pore sizes, micropores through meso-pores to macro-pores through a combination of techniques, including gas adsorption and mercury porosimetry, providing pore size, area and volume distribution data.
We also offer chemisorption analysis, by CO and H2 and a range of density analysis covering bulk density by mercury displacement and absolute density by helium displacement.
Specialist gas adsorption is provided by krypton, argon and CO2 adsorption, giving us the ability to analyses both very low surface area materials and highly microporous materials.
Specialist Mercury Porosimetry is provided through permeability and tortuosity measurements.
We are very proud of our experience in these fields and are always happy to give guidance towards the most suitable analytical technique for a given sample type and application. Data interpretation is also offered to ensure that the most information is gained from results and that this is related to the end use of sample materials.
