Clients are Software & Services Technology companies & PE Funds, ranging from VC backed, to public multi-billion dollar entities. Primary areas for consulting, comprise of: 1. Infrastructure, Application, Data Governance & Compliance focused around using native AWS services such as Control Tower, Service Catalog, App Registry & Resilience Hub; 2. Engineering organization/product innovation, using Amazon leadership principles, AWS organizing tenets & mechanisms that have propelled AWS to an $88 billion, 100,000 person organization delivering over 200 services globally to millions of customers, in only 17 years from inception. 3. Software Supply Chain modernization leveraging AWS Marketplace; Go to Market with AWS in geo-segments & industries that AWS prioritizes, particularly Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services & Government, both national & US state governments including Not For Profit organizations. McCann Advisory is focused on bringing the strategic & operational judgement, experience & contact network of Dave McCann, a 8 year proven Vice President of Engineering, at AWS (2014 - 2022) to its clients as they innovate on AWS. Dave launched, operated & grew 8 services for AWS, latterly leading over 1,000 staff in over a dozen countries, & the services combined revenues exceeded multiple billions of dollars per annum for AWS. Dave also spent leadership stints in Microsoft, IBM & Unisys Corp, along with 4 roles as a VC or PE backed CEO running high growth start ups on the West Coast of the USA, between 1998 & 2014. Those startups primarily focused on Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecom, Airlines, Utilities & Government – large industry verticals who invest a high percentage of revenues on IT (2-8%) for transformation of business services to consumers.
