McMaster Extra Life is an organization built from a partnership of passionate university students and McMaster Children's Hospital, striving to use gaming to better children health. MEL is the McMaster branch of Extra Life, a non-profit organization working with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. As of the 2022-2023 school year, MEL is the largest recreational club at McMaster University, fundraising over $14,000 for the McMaster Children's Hospital in the past 4 years.
McMaster Extra Life regularly participates in the CLICK (Child Life Interactive Computer for Kids) program at McMaster Children's Hospital. CLICK uses the power of play to improve children’s health, connectivity, and normalcy while being in the hospital.
