Mediation India

Mediation India is an initiative of Atul Sobti, who is a trained and certified Mediator and an Advocate registered with the Bar Council of Delhi. Mediation India intends to create an effective, leading platform for the advocacy of Mediation as a first choice dispute resolution mechanism for any dispute (esp. of a civil, commercial nature). Mediation India has a deep belief in Mediation as the best form and process for the resolution of a dispute, offering clear advantages over the traditional adversarial court and arbitration procedures. A mediated Settlement Agreement between the parties is the most satisfying outcome, as it is the parties themselves that are at the centre of the process and have resolved their dispute amicably and under mutually acceptable terms - all within a limited time and cost. The Settlement provides a genuine finality to, and the closure of, the dispute. Mediation India's founder, Atul Sobti, is a Certified Mediator, having undertaken the 45-hour Mediation Training with the Indian Institute of Corporate Attains (IICA), a part of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. He is also an Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator, having successfully completed the 6-day Civil/Commercial Mediation Training Programme with ADR/ODR International (a London based organisation with an affiliate in India). Atul Sobti is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His career span of almost 40 years has been in the private corporate sector (for about 35 years), followed by his own publishing venture (for about 5 years). He has held senior positions at several organizations, including Hero Honda Motors Lid. and Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. His career has been for many years in the Commercial area (Sales, Marketing), followed by General Management and then Senior Management roles. He has worked across multiple industries, including IT, Telecom. Logistics. Automobile and Pharmaceuticals.
