COVID-19 has presented a unique set of challenges to both traditional and online retailers with a corporate social responsibility to ensure their best endeavours have been made to present garments and accessories that don’t carry the virus which can cross contaminate and result in customers being infected. The efforts that retailers are making are costly as they are typically labour intensive, require goods to be off-sale for extended periods and/or require some form of treatment like steaming which requires staff to be properly trained, donned in PPE and conducted in an isolated area. The uvSaniCabinet is supporting retailers with their safety processes enabling them to put product back on-shelf immediately after just a 60 second UV sanitisation treatment. Manufactured in Ireland, the uvSaniCabinet is a mobile cabinet that has been designed for clothing, accessories, shoes, beauty products, books, food and other products. The uvSaniCabinet can sanitise multiple garments in one minute cycles.
