MEDO, the Meta Economic Development Organisation (NPC) is a non-profit company involved with development on all spheres of economic growth. MEDO recognised the need to assist organisations to develop winning Enterprise and Supplier Development strategies, operational roll-out plans and other related advisory services to support their BBBEE and broader investment priorities. MEDO is not only helping to secure supplier relationships and expand trade within South Africa, but with its famed International Trade Programme, has expanded trade and secured relationships between the UK and local South African entrepreneurs. MEDO truly believes that we can build the economy one job at a time and thus reaches out to all communities with its Socio-Economic Programme, Treppie (short for entrepreneur) a mobile incubator truck kitted with workstations and workshop space. Besides assisting and moulding enterprising entrepreneurs, MEDO has recently also shifted its focus to the youth of South Africa through its Young Women in STEM Programme that will see high school learners effectively design the payload for a satellite that MEDO will send up into orbit in 2016. MEDO is a company that looks to the future, not only that of the economy, but that of the people armed with the belief that a rising tide lifts all the boats.
