With over 300 peer advisors serving all of Brown’s first-year and first-time students annually, the Meiklejohn Peer Advising Program is the University's largest student organization. Meiklejohn peer advisors are paired with a faculty or staff advising partner for the duration of the academic year. Advising discussions center on: course selection, study habits, housing, co-curricular and research opportunities, navigating the Brown campus and Providence, social issues and more. Meiklejohn peer advisors offer a student perspective on the University experience, while engendering an informal, open dialogue that proves indispensable to first-year and first-time students. This formative relationship is a key to helping them navigate their transition to Brown and beyond.
