Precious was published by powerHouse in 2004 and A Journey of Smiles was published by powerHouse in 2007. Appearances on Mind of a Chef, Top Chef, Charlie Rose, The Today Show, The Chew, NPR Weekend Edition and The Splendid Table. She has hosted her own 12-episode series on Martha Stewart Radio SIRIUS XM, "My Last Supper," and in 2014 Melanie hosted and starred in an 18-episode TV series for Yahoo Travel, "Photo Tripping."
