The company S. Mentekidis S.A. started out in the bottling sector 25 years ago. Despite today's adverse business conditions, it continues its dynamic growth and expansion.
In 2012, the company opened a new bottling plant for DIOS natural mineral water at Karitsa, Pieria, following an investment of more than 10 million euro, one of the biggest ever in the sector.
It is an investment in high standards that safeguards the company's commitment to consumers in respect of quality and hygiene.
DIOS plant, an energy class A building with a floor area of 6,000 m2 on a 15,000 m2 site owned by the company itself. It is equpiped with the most modern bottling equipment for PET plastic and glasss.
At every stage of production, strict daily checks are carried out in the plant's fully equipped microbiology laboratory by qualified and experienced personnel. The company works with independent foreign labs to ensure the highest safety and quality standards in accordance with ISO 22000 and HACCP requirements.
On the fully automated packaging line, all the bottling, capping and labelling procedures are completed without any human intervention.
The capacity to bottle, package and store 32,000 bottles an hour ensures that in next to no time, the product is dispatched directly via an organised distribution network.
However, S. Mentekidis S.A. established itself in the Greek market in 1992, with the construction of a plant for bottling SELI Natural Mineral Water at its point of origin, in Spilia, Kozani.
Today, with significant experience in the bottling sector, the company continues to invest in new technologies at all stages of production. With two independent production and storage of raw materials are located, along with the moest advanced bottling processes, the plant quarantees the highest quality standards.
Daily checks are carried our in the plant's state-of-the-art microbiology laboratory by qualified personnel in collaboration with independent foreign laboratories in accordance with ISO 22000 and HACCP rrquirements. This quarantees a final product that is absolutely safe for consumers.
