MentorGNV

MentorGNV is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of local elementary, middle, and high school students through a variety of mentoring opportunities held at Alachua County Public Schools. MentorGNV places University of Florida students into schools across Gainesville to serve as mentors who support their mentees academically, socially, mentally, and emotionally each week as they navigate school and life. We believe that by simply being there for our mentees, we can have a profound impact on their lives – and ultimately, on our whole community. It is our goal to equip the next generation with the confidence, kindness, and resilience to face the future. As tutors, playmates, cheerleaders, role models, advocates, confidants, and friends, we strive to uplift, engage, and empower the youth in our community – one mentoring session at a time.
