Middle East Refugee Aid (MERA) is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable health and humanitarian support for Middle Eastern refugees and underserved communities across the globe. We specialize in: 🔹 Health Literacy & Education Creating culturally tailored health programs and materials that equip refugee communities with the knowledge and tools to advocate for their well-being. 🔹 Humanitarian Aid & Food Security Delivering essential aid—including grocery vouchers, hygiene kits, and emergency supplies—through dignified, community-centered initiatives like Karam Cards. 🔹 Sustainability & Service Accessibility Designing programs that meet refugees where they are—physically, linguistically, and culturally—by bringing health services, education, and resources directly to the communities we serve, rather than expecting them to seek out systems not built for them. 🔹 Community-Based Research Conducting grassroots research that highlights health disparities and informs equity-driven solutions and public health practice.
