META BUILD is a Horizon Europe Innovation Action (Grant Agreement No. 101138373) which aims to contribute to the decarbonisation of the EU building sector by electrifying thermal energy demand.
The project integrates advanced several technologies - from heat pumps (HPs), photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) systems, second-life batteries, to smart energy management - at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 5 to 7.
Over four years, META BUILD will demonstrate its solutions in six pilot sites across Austria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, and Spain, in both new constructions and renovations. Replication will follow in seven additional locations across Europe.
By combining low-carbon electrified technologies with renewable energy integration and intelligent building management, META BUILD aims to deliver a scalable, future-proof model for sustainable buildings across Europe.
