ENPOWER

ENPOWER will design, develop and demonstrate SSH-driven methodologies, interactive and closed-loop tools and data-driven services for energy activated citizens and energy-secure communities towards a citizen-centric energy system. We combine leadingedge ICT with social / behavioural dimension, and with sharing economy and value stacking governance and business models, in order to deliver: 1) A Social Science Framework for energy citizens activation and innovative multi-dimensional incentives for citizens’ participation in a consumer-centric energy and demand response (DR) markets; 2) AI-based consumers clustering and market segmentation algorithms; 3) Interactive tool and facilitation services for consumers ‘activation’ and energy community planning; 4) Energy Data Space as the digital backbone infrastructure to support consumer and community-level data-driven ‘activation’, and interoperable automated privacy and sovereignty-preserving DR; 5) P2P DLT/Blockchain digital marketplace for tokenised energy and non-energy assets valuation and reciprocal compensation; 6) Data-driven services and apps for energy efficiency, sharing and activation performance management; 7) Consumer activation optimised management, considering local community management vs aggregated management (to support local grid operation and active participation in electricity markets); 8) Edge monitoring hubs for automated DR; 9) Business Sandbox with novel sharing economy and social innovation -based business models; 10) Methodologies and guidelines for evaluating different energy community setups, including upscaling and replication. ENPOWER will validate and replicate the overall social, technological, organizational/business framework along 6 pilots (covering different geographical and socio-economic contexts) to increase local (and system-level) energy efficiency, while at the same time aiming at increasing local security of supply, through consumers activation and community-level aggregation.
