MiGen

The mission of SAGE Metro Detroit is to ensure no aging LGBT adult will face isolation, will be silenced, or will be denied LGBT culturally competent medical and care services. SAGE Metro Detroit focuses its work and resources into four main areas: >Informing and influencing the Michigan landscape on LGBT aging though community-based, local and state advocacy efforts. >Providing leadership and education to organizations, service providers, faith institutions, and businesses on the aging LGBT population >Empowering LGBT older adults through availability of accurate information to make important life decisions and to advocate on behalf of themselves.
