Micro Galleries

Micro Galleries is an independent, free socially conscious global initiative, social impact project and virtual creative hub that uses art as a vehicle to create positive change for you, and our world. We are driving a vision that micro change can lead to macro social, environmental, political change and empowerment. Since 2013 we’ve made art accessible and a tool for education and dialogue. The project has made an impact globally: over 21 global initiatives, over seven years, across four continents involving over 1.9 million artists, participants and online engagements and even mentioned in Australian Parliament. So, think of us as providing a kind of urban acupuncture through creative interventions in public spaces, workshops, art tours, symposiums, think tanks, and residencies; a creative clinic where we empower, and develop innovate creative solutions to local and global issues – all which culminates in our annual Micro Galleries Festival, Micro Galleries Live. MG Live works closely with a community to reclaim disused and forgotten spaces and reactivate them as open-air galleries that are free and accessible to the local community. Bringing together international and local artists, the festival features work that aims to celebrate the community and kindle positive change and solutions.
