We are an innovative and fast growing biotech company with a line of water quality analysers. We’re based in the Netherlands and we have several R&D cooperation’s with Universities and research institutes. Our analysers are used for water quality monitoring, drinkingwater intake protection, river monitoring and for influent and effluent monitoring of wastewater treatment plants. From our expertise with water analysis and the demand for an on-line toxicity monitor we developped the TOXcontrol On-line Biomonitor using luminescent bacteria (vibrio fischeri). This is a unique system for on-line monitoring of the toxicity in waste-, drinking- or processwater. microLAN's online monitors instantly response to a change in water quality, giving an alarm signal to indicate a possible water pollution. The advantage of microLAN's monitoring is that the water intake is guarded permanently, avoiding the need for a high frequent collection of water samples and lab analyses. A possible pollution is detected within minutes, allowing the operator to take appropriate action immediately. Its current products, which include the iTOXcontrol monitor, the ALGcontrol and the newly added Coliguard (which will be named BACTcontrol) for monitoring algae species, bacteria and bio-toxins, enable microLAN to provide quick, sensitive, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective monitoring solutions.
