MiDx uses unique biomarkers produced by microbes for detection in clinical samples. These biomarkers are present in multiple biofluids allowing for non-microbial containing samples to be used in a POC device.
Our lead product uses unique biomarkers for Pseudomonas aeruginosa to detect this bacterium in multiple biofluids (blood, plasma, urine and saliva). This is of particular importance in respiratory infections in people with chronic disease e.g. Cystic fibrosis, where new modulator therapies have markedly changed the production of sputum meaning sputum culture is exceptional challenging.
