Mindful Technologies strives to alleviate the social stigma against mental health amongst youths in Asia through technology and education and to provide safe and anonymous emotional support to students in need. Our mission is to develop Asia’s largest support platform for students to overcome emotional problems and for schools to quantify the wellbeing of their community. Currently, youths are faced with intense societal pressures to succeed and perform. As they go through puberty, they must also overcome emotional problems associated with self-identity, parental conflicts, difficult friendships, relationships, discrimination, and bullying. These are the countless reasons why mental health problems are skyrocketing amongst youths in Hong Kong. On top of that, there is a huge stigma against “not feeling okay” and “seeking help”, and many youths are facing high barriers to seeking help. Rather than putting a bandage over a wound.
