Minimalist Journeys

We're Paul and Sandra. Since 2016, we've lived and worked full-time on the road — travelling slowly, living with just 9kg each, and sharing what we've learned along the way. Minimalist Journeys is where we document that journey. Through our blog and content, we explore how to live more intentionally and travel more responsibly — with fewer things, less waste, and more care for the people and places we encounter. We share honest travel guides, cost breakdowns, and reflections on what it means to live and travel lightly. We also cover practical tools for those exploring alternative lifestyles — from tiny house living and digital nomadism to financial independence and slow travel. We occasionally collaborate with organisations whose values align with ours, particularly those working towards sustainable tourism and ethical consumption. We believe that small, thoughtful choices can lead to a more balanced life for us and for the planet.
