our mission: minimum construction for maximum development the low cost, low carbon design & engineering solution revolutionising large-scale construction by using vastly less material than traditional concrete or steel options. we supply Eurocode-compliant portal frames (e.g. for long span warehouses) and bespoke beams (for bridges & large buildings), by combining 3d concrete printing and post-tensioning of steel to use far less material. 3d printing allows the concrete to be placed precisely, without complicated or expensive formwork. minimass uses the right material, in the right place, for the right purpose, with no waste: concrete in compression and steel in tension. examples of potential savings for equivalent performance: minimass beams cut embodied carbon by 50-78% and supply cost by 20-40% vs traditional concrete or steel options. a minimass portal frame for a single-storey warehouse (for 36m x 15m grid case study) cuts embodied carbon by 44% (incl. columns & bracing) & total cost by up to 20% (incl. connections, installation) vs a steel frame.
