History of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Prior to the year (1255 AD), the sub telecommunication subsection of the Ministry of Science and Post was a subset of the Ministry of Duty and Associated Affairs. On March 21, 1255, on the orders of Naser-al-Din Shah, Ali Gholi Khan Hedayat, known as Mokbar-Dawlah, was appointed as the first Minister of Telegraph of Iran, and was actually established by the Ministry of Communications.  In the year (1259 AD), changes were made to the construction of the country, especially at the post office and chaparkhaneh, and Mirza Alikhan Amin al-Dawlah was appointed as the first post minister. After that, in the year (1283 AH), the first phone issue was handed over to Basir al-Mamalek, and the telephone was also launched in Tehran. With regard to the similarity of duties of the Telegraph and Post Office in the year (1287 AD), both ministries joined together and the Ministry of Post and Telegraph began work. In the year (1308 AD), the Ministry of Post and Telegraph, after the purchase of the telephone company, bought the telephone, and the Ministry of Post and Telegraph and Telephone was formed, which Mirza Qasim Khan Sorasrafil was appointed as the post and telegraph minister and telephone. Due to the addition of information technology to this area and the inclusive speed and the increasing growth of modern communication technologies, in 2004 the name of the Ministry of Post and Telegraph and telephone was changed to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology with the approval of the Parliament, with the new duties of the ministry More fit.
