MIT Institute Of Design is a leading center for Design learning and research in India. Founded by leading Design educators and practitioners of India , MIT ID is part of the MAEER's which itself is a reputed name in education field.
MIT ID is located in the sprawling lush green campus spread over 125 acres at Rajbaug on Pune-Solapur road.
MIT ID aims to create a design community which will cater not only to the big industry but also to the small scale and rural industries and handicrafts. It has a social goal of developing, encouraging rural design and products for the needy and the large disadvantaged population in India.
Education at MIT Institute of Design has been thought in a very broad manner to belong to three domains of Sadhan(Skill), Sadhana(Knowledge) and Sadhya(Solution).
