The Mongolian National Mining Association was established in 1994 so as to best safeguard the lawful interests and legitimate benefits of its members by seeking to reflect their voices and concerns in the state policies, provide the members and the general public with the most up-to-date and comprehensive information and knowledge on the minerals industry, and help build lasting and effective cooperation and partnerships for the industry.
Our members are national and multinational mining and exploration corporations, equipment producers and suppliers, service providers as well as banking and insurance institutions and representatives of scholarly and academic circles.
MNMA is one of the initiators and co-organizers of “Discover Mongolia” International Mining Investors Forum, which promotes private investments in Mongolia’s minerals sector. Our partnership with PDAC, China Mining, the Northern Miner, the Mining Journal, Bloomberg, The Asia Miner has greatly contributed to forging and advocating the most authentic image of Mongolia’s mineral sector along with its myriad opportunities and challenges. The MNMA has been the flagship of the Responsible Mining Initiative, which, embraced and upheld by dozens of local NGOS, international development and financial institutions, has grown as the major avenue for the multi-stakeholders’ forum to promote responsible mining in Mongolia.
