Monkstown is one of the oldest Rugby Clubs in Ireland; founded in 1883/1884, just three years after the formation of the Irish Rugby Football Union in 1880.
Based in Sydney Parade, in the heart of Sandymount, we have rugby teams that cater for all skills and fitness levels. Our senior team plays in AIL Division 2 C and junior and social teams compete in various competitions.
The club is also the place to be on Sunday mornings as our ever eager minis take to the field. It’s a great place for parents to introduce children to the game of rugby and enjoy a coffee with friends and neighbours.
We organise a packed calendar of events, club nights, tag tournaments and have a great atmospheric bar for you to enjoy.
